I’ve been toying with the idea of a large mural in the bathroom, something tropical but not too loud. Maybe something with palm leaves to give it a spa-like feel. But is a mural too much for a small space like a bathroom? Anyone tried it before?

I was skeptical at first too, but ended up going with a palm leaf mural and it was a total win. The trick is to keep the rest of the decor minimal so the mural can shine without overwhelming the room. I used the Pattern Palm Leaves Wall Mural Peel and Stick from California Wallpaper, and it brought this lush, tropical calm into the space. The leaves are large but spaced out, and the colors are soft greens that don’t feel too bold. It turned my small guest bath into a peaceful little corner. Plus, since it’s peel-and-stick, it was super easy to install.
