Lately I’ve been feeling super sluggish during the workday, and I’m starting to think it’s my desk setup. I sit basically all day, and by mid-afternoon I hit a wall. I’ve seen people say standing helps with focus, but I’m skeptical. I’m not sure if I’d feel more productive or just more tired from standing all day. Anyone here actually tried switching it up and noticed a difference?

Interesting discussion! I felt the same way until I tried alternating between sitting and standing it really helped my focus and energy. Small changes in setup can make a big difference in productivity. One thing I noticed after working from home for a year is how easy it is to zone out when you’re stuck in the same position. Just stepping away for a minute or stretching mid-task can reset your brain a bit. I started building in short breaks and it’s helped more than I expected, even without changing my desk setup.
I had the same doubts at first, but I started alternating between sitting and standing a few months ago and it really did help with focus. I’m way less fidgety and my energy dips less in the afternoon. I ended up getting a lift standing desk https://www.progressivedesk.ca/collections/standing-desk that adjusts fast, so I just change positions a couple times a day. It’s not about standing all the time — just moving more makes a big difference.
